They are made of pure beeswax (a sustainable material) and lack the petroleum and toxins that typical wax crayons are made with, making them a healthier choice for children and the environment. In addition, the use of pure beeswax as a binding agent results in light-resistant pigments and a brilliant degree of opacity similar to watercolors. Stockmar is a favored brand of Waldorf Schools. Made in Germany.
